Position Overview
AECI is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to bridge the gap between product design and large-scale production. This role is integral to ensuring new products are optimized for manufacturability and cost-efficiency, guiding them through prototyping and full production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with R&D and design teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability and cost, ensuring efficient assembly.
- Lead the industrialization of new products—from prototyping to production release.
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, select and define production equipment requirements.
- Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SAP, aligned with Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs).
- Conduct time studies and process validations to uphold world-class manufacturing standards.
- Recommend and implement process improvements using lean methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Facilitate the creation of assembly instructions, testing procedures, process flows, PFMEAs, and control plans.
- Oversee industrialization of test equipment and assist in system design and validation.
- Support root cause analysis and problem-solving using tools like 8D and A3.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing transfer or new product introduction (NPI) environments.
- Proficiency with process validation (PPAP, PFMEA) and lean tools (SPC, Kaizen, 8D, A3).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, materials, and applicable process technologies.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
