Programme Overview
The UNOPS Diversity and Inclusion Internship supports the organization’s Gender Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (GESI), Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment (PSEAH), and Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) efforts within the Southeast Asia and Pacific Multi-Country Office. As part of the GESI network, the intern will assist in applying inclusive, intersectional approaches across UNOPS projects and workplace strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and administer meetings for GESI Focal Points; draft minutes and follow up on deliverables
- Track progress in GESI action plans and analyze alignment with budgets and objectives
- Gather and report achievements and stories highlighting inclusion progress
- Draft briefings and visibility content for management and regional teams
- Collaborate with project managers to integrate GESI, PSEAH, and HSSE inputs into project workflows
- Maintain planning tools for monitoring performance indicators related to inclusion strategies
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or graduate (within 3 years) in social policy, gender studies, international development, law, geography, engineering, or a related field
- Experience: Exposure to inclusion frameworks; familiarity with Google Workspace essential
- Language: Fluent in English; additional regional language fluency advantageous
- Attributes: Respectful of diversity, culturally aware, ethical, and collaborative
